For many years I was told doing sit ups, plus eating my chicken, rice and broccoli would result in amazing Abs! This statement is true to an extent, however there were many negative effects of doing thousands of sit ups, weighted sit ups and machine crunches. Yes, by doing these types of workouts you will see your abs but there are many better ways to achieve the same goal. The main reason I started to look for different options was that I found I was suffering from weak core strength and back problems were starting to arise. As a young kid starting to work out, I listened to anyone who gave me workout tips – there was not nearly enough information at my fingertips as there is now. The lucky part is that I caught this problem before it was too late and this is why I am writing to educate others.
