Take care of your body before it yells for help!
We’ve all heard the line: “Take care of your body now so you don’t hurt later.”
Most people brush it off. You feel strong. Capable. Unstoppable. It’s hard to imagine that ever changing.
But it does.
Whether you’re an athlete, office worker, or especially someone in construction or physical trades, it’s never too early to start taking care of your body properly and from multiple angles.
Strength training is only one piece of the puzzle. Chiropractic care, massage, acupuncture, and physiotherapy all play a role in keeping the body balanced, mobile, and pain-free. And the mind matters just as much. You can’t see stress or burnout, but they absolutely affect how your body performs. Practices like meditation and yoga help keep both in check.
I like to think of the body the same way we think about a vehicle. You wouldn’t skip oil changes, ignore tire wear, or stop putting fuel in the tank and expect it to run forever. Your body works the same way. It needs proper fuel through nutritious food, consistent hydration, regular maintenance for tight muscles and joints, and smart movement patterns to prevent breakdown and injury.

For strength training and physiotherapy, I work with Chris Montgomery at Pivotal Evolve.
Taking care of your body isn’t a luxury. It’s basic maintenance for a long, capable life.
