Do you soak your nutz ?
Why Soak Nuts?
I was honestly surprised the first time I heard you should soak nuts but once I looked into it, it made complete sense.
Most people assume grabbing a handful of raw nuts is automatically healthy. And while nuts are nutrient-dense, they can also be hard for the body to digest when eaten dry. That means you may not be absorbing as much of their nutritional value as you think.
Nuts naturally contain phytic acid and enzyme inhibitors, which can interfere with digestion and mineral absorption. Soaking helps reduce these compounds, making the nuts easier to digest and allowing your body to better access the nutrients.
You’ll still get some benefit from unsoaked nuts, but soaking helps your body do less work and get more out of what you’re eating.
How to Do It
• Soak raw nuts in clean, filtered water
• Leave them for 12–24 hours
• Rinse and enjoy (or dry them if you prefer crunch)
Using filtered or purified water is ideal so you’re not soaking them in unwanted chemicals from tap water.
This is a simple habit, but small changes like this can make a noticeable difference in digestion and overall nutrition.
Stop wasting good food. Make it easier for your body to use it.
